Zorren terms
Last updated: 5 November 2026
These are the terms for working with Zorren. We've kept them short and plain. If anything here doesn't make sense, email us before you pay and we'll explain it.
Zorren is a sole trader business based in Canberra ACT.ABN: 67 688 063 018. Email: hello@zorren.com.au
1. How we agree
Before any work starts, we'll email you a quote and a project summary. The summary lists your package, price, payment amounts and anything specific to your job.
You agree to these terms when you reply to say you're happy with the quote, or when you pay the deposit invoice. If your project summary says something different to these terms, the summary wins for your job.
2. No GST
Zorren isn't registered for GST. The price on your quote is the full price. No GST gets added on top.
3. Packages and scope
- One page: $1,500, fixed.
- Multi-page (up to 5 pages): from $2,500. Your exact price is in your quote.
- Bigger sites and online stores: quoted per job.
Your project summary sets out exactly what's included. Anything not listed there is extra. If you ask for something extra, we'll quote it by email first and only start once you say yes. You'll never get a surprise bill.
4. How we work
Everything happens over email. No calls or meetings. That keeps a written record of what's been agreed, which protects both sides.
We'll reply to emails within 2 business days during a project.
5. Revisions
Your package includes two rounds of revisions. A round means you send us one list of changes, and we make them.
More rounds after that are charged at $100 an hour, quoted before we start. Changes that go beyond the agreed scope (like a new page or a new feature) are quoted separately.
If something we built doesn't match your project summary, fixing it doesn't count as a revision round. That's on us.
6. Payment
Unless your project summary says otherwise:
- Websites and online stores: 50% deposit to start, 50% before launch.
Invoices are sent through Hnry and can be paid by card. Invoices are due within 7 days.
The site goes live once the final invoice is paid. If an invoice is overdue, we may pause work until it's paid. We'll always email you before pausing anything.
7. Your content
You supply your text, photos, logos and other content. By sending them to us, you confirm you own them or have permission to use them on your website.
If you don't have content ready, we can help you source stock photos or write copy. That will be quoted separately.
8. Delays
Timeframes in your quote depend on getting your content and feedback on time.
If we haven't heard from you for 30 days, we'll email you a reminder. If there's still no reply 14 days after that reminder, we'll pause the project. You can restart it any time within 6 months by emailing us. We may need to adjust the timeline to fit our schedule. After 6 months, we'll treat the project as cancelled under section 9.
If we're the ones running late, we'll tell you by email as soon as we know, with a new date.
9. Cancelling
You can cancel any time by emailing us.
If you cancel:
- You pay for the work done up to that point, worked out at $100 an hour, up to a maximum of what you've already been invoiced for that stage.
- If you've paid more than the work done is worth, we'll refund the difference within 14 days.
- We'll send you everything finished so far once your payments are settled.
We can cancel if you don't pay an overdue invoice after a reminder, if you ask us to do something unlawful, or if we can't finish the job for another genuine reason. If we cancel for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund any money you've paid for work we haven't done.
10. Launch and the 30-day fix period
Once your site is live, we'll fix any bugs free of charge for 30 days. A bug means something that doesn't work the way your project summary says it should. New features or changes after launch are quoted separately.
This 30-day period sits on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law (see section 15). It doesn't replace them.
11. Care plan (optional)
The care plan is optional. You don't have to take it.
- Price: $99 a month. Your first month is free.
- Includes: hosting, SSL, backups, uptime monitoring, a monthly speed and SEO check, and small edits by email, usually done within 48 hours.
- Small edits means things like updating text, prices, photos or opening hours. Bigger changes are quoted at $100 an hour before we start.
- No lock-in. Cancel any time by email. It stops at the end of the month you're in.
- If we ever change the price, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before it kicks in.
If you don't want the care plan, we'll hand your site over for you to host yourself, for a one-off handover fee listed in your quote. After handover, you're responsible for hosting, updates and security.
12. Who owns what
Websites: once you've paid in full, you own your site's design, code and content.
Online stores: once you've paid in full, you own your design, content and domain. Your store runs on Zorren's shared store system, which Zorren owns. You get a licence to use it for as long as your store is hosted with Zorren. If you leave, we'll help you move your products, content and data out, so you're never stuck.
Until you've paid in full, the work stays Zorren's. Your own content always stays yours.
13. Showing the work
We may show your site in our portfolio and on social media, and add a small "Site by Zorren" credit in your footer. If you'd rather we didn't, just email us and we'll remove the credit or leave your site out of our portfolio. We'll never share anything you've told us is private.
14. Third-party services
Your site may use other services, like domain registrars, payment providers, email, maps or booking tools. Their own terms and fees apply, and we can't control their outages or price changes. We'll tell you upfront about any service your site depends on.
15. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
16. Limits
Where the law allows, and only for services not ordinarily bought for personal or household use, our liability for a problem with our work is limited to fixing the work again, or paying the cost of having it fixed.
We can't promise any particular Google ranking, number of enquiries or sales. We'll build your site properly, but results depend on a lot of things outside our control.
Neither side is responsible for delays caused by things outside its control, like outages, illness or natural disasters. If that happens, we'll sort out a new timeline by email.
17. Privacy
We only use your details to do your job, send invoices and stay in touch about your site. We don't sell or share them, except with services we need to do the work (like Hnry for invoicing or our hosting provider).
If your site collects info from your customers (like a contact form), you're responsible for having a privacy policy on your site. We can add one if you give us the wording.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes only apply to new projects. Your project runs on the terms you agreed to when you started. For the care plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before any change applies, and you can cancel without any fee.
19. Disagreements
If something goes wrong, email us first and we'll try to sort it out together. If that doesn't work, either side can go to the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (asbfeo.gov.au) or Access Canberra (accesscanberra.act.gov.au) for help before going to court.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, and the ACT courts and tribunals (including ACAT) can hear any dispute.
