Will I ever need to get on the phone?
No. Everything happens over email, from the first message through to launch. If you'd really rather talk things through, we're probably not the right fit, and that's fine.
How much does a website cost?
A one-page website is $1,500, fixed. Multi-page sites start from $2,500, and online stores are quoted per job. You get a fixed price once we've seen the job.
How do payments work?
50% to start and 50% before launch, for websites and online stores alike. The site goes live once the second half is paid.
What counts as a round of changes?
One email with everything you want changed. We work through the lot, then you get a second round. Anything after that is charged by the hour, and we'll tell you what it'll cost before we start.
How long does it take?
It depends on the scope. A one-page site can be live in a week or less. Bigger sites, with more pages, bookings or payments, take a few weeks or more. How quickly we get your logo, photos and words matters too. You'll get a start date when we reply.
What do you need from me?
Your logo, or tell us you haven't got one. Photos of your work, and real ones from your phone beat stock photos every time. What you do: services, prices, locations, the lot, and dot points are fine. Your domain login, or tell us you haven't got a domain yet. And replies. The faster you answer, the faster it's done.
What if I haven't got photos or words?
Say so when you tell us about the job. Real photos of your work are best, and phone photos are usually fine. If you're stuck on the words, tell us and we'll sort it out over email.
Will I show up on Google?
Every site gets the basics: page titles, descriptions, a sitemap, local business schema and fast load times. Nobody can promise you page one, and we'd be careful of anyone who does.
Why not just use Shopify?
Shopify's fine to start with. But you pay a monthly plan, plus app fees, plus extra transaction fees if you don't use their payments, for as long as the store exists. A custom store costs more up front, then it's just hosting and Stripe fees.
Do I need the care plan?
No, it's optional. It's $99 a month, first month free, and we add it to your quote unless you'd rather not. It covers hosting, SSL, backups, uptime monitoring, edits by email within 48 hours, and a speed and SEO check every month.
What if I don't want it?
Just say so. There's no lock-in. If you'd rather host it yourself, we hand the site over for a small one-off fee. We fix bugs free for 30 days after launch, and quote any changes after that.
